Powerful habit: Stepping out of my comfort zone changed my life
Staying in my comfort zone always felt safe at first. But after a while, I’d start feeling lazy, stuck, and even frustrated. That space became more like a cage than a cushion.
So I began pushing myself out of it on purpose — whether it was learning a new skill, changing careers, travelling solo, or hitting reset when life felt stale.
It didn’t have to be dramatic. Even small steps in a different direction helped me feel alive again.
Growth happens out there, not in the waiting room.
I stopped waiting until I was ready
I used to think I needed to be fully prepared before I could begin. That mindset held me back for years.
When I started this YouTube channel, I spent over a year preparing — watching tutorials, designing branding, and writing scripts. But once I finally published just three videos, I learned more in that week than during the entire year before.
There’s no perfect time. No perfect plan. And the idea of being “ready” is a myth.
Doing will always teach you more than planning ever will.
I started exercising
The moment I started hitting the gym, running, and doing regular workouts, everything shifted.
My anxiety, depression, and even occasional panic attacks dropped to almost zero.
For years, I thought fitness creators were just exaggerating. But when I experienced it myself, I got it.
This stuff works on your body, but even more on your mind.
It’s cheaper than medicine or therapy, and it’s way more empowering.
You don’t have to be an athlete. Just start moving. You’ll feel the shift.
I simplified my life
The more money I made, the more stuff I bought. Most of it, I didn’t even use.
Before I left for Asia in January, I got rid of most of my belongings. The amount of stuff I threw away was shocking. That purge hit me hard.
I decided to give minimalism a shot. Now, I travel with just one suitcase and a backpack — and I have everything I need.
Turns out, I wasn’t buying things because I needed them. I was trying to fill a different kind of emptiness.
Less stuff. Less noise. More clarity.

I cut down on TV and Netflix
At some point, I realised I needed to change my mental diet. I didn’t quit completely, but I stopped using TV and Netflix as background noise or escape. Most shows weren’t adding any value — just draining my time and attention.
Now, I mostly use YouTube to follow creators who inspire me or teach me something.
Learning something new is great, but applying it? That’s where the real change begins.
Life-changing habit: Surrounding myself with the right people
I used to keep a big social circle. I was friendly with everyone. But most of those connections didn’t offer real support. When things got tough, I was mostly alone.
That made me re-evaluate everything. I started cutting out the passive, negative, or toxic people, even the ones who weren’t intentionally harmful, just draining.
Now, I keep my circle small, but solid.
The few people around me are real. They’re honest, supportive, and not afraid to challenge me when I need it.
It’s not about quantity. It’s about energy.
I started living now, not later
I used to postpone the things that really mattered.
I’d say I’d start tomorrow, travel next year, and call someone next week. But tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
Now, I make space for what’s meaningful today.
I try not to overthink or wait for “the right time.”
Time is moving whether I do something or not, so I choose to move with it.
I stopped chasing happiness
When I saw Everest, hit career milestones, or finished great books, the feeling of happiness didn’t last long. A few hours, maybe a day or two, and then it faded.
That made me realise something important. Happiness doesn’t live in those big moments.
It lives in the small, consistent ones — the progress, the struggle, the quiet wins.
Now I focus on building a meaningful life, not chasing a perfect emotional state.
Happiness is just a byproduct of doing things that matter.

I stopped tying my happiness to other people
I used to wait for others to join before I did something — to travel, eat out, start a project. I tied my joy to their presence. But people come and go. And sometimes, they’re just not available.
Eventually, I learned to enjoy my own company and create my joy.
Now, if I want to do something, I just go. I don’t wait anymore.
When you’re solid with yourself, you show up better for everyone else, too — more grounded, more peaceful, more present.
I stopped caring what others think
This one freed up so much energy.
If I still cared what others thought, I’d still be stuck in my old life. This blog, this channel, this journey — none of it would exist.
People will always have opinions. You can’t control that. But you can decide how much weight you give them.
Once I started living for myself, everything changed. I became more honest, more confident, and more connected with the kind of people I want in my life.
